Dinner with Turkey

Dinner With Turkey is a comedy animated short film created by the talented animator Hleb Kuftseryn as his MA project at the Estonian Academy of Arts. The film combines bold, stylized animation with absurd, character-driven humor, drawing inspiration from vintage cooking shows. It was selected for several international festivals and competitions, including Animist Tallinn 2021, T-Short 2022 Humorous Shorts program, VAF 2022, and Balkanima 2022, and is now available on Vimeo.

I composed the music, designed all sound elements, handled the mix, and performed the voiceover. The soundtrack draws from the kitschy charm of 1970s TV cooking shows, adding a playful contrast to the visual chaos. Sound design combined recorded foley with library elements to enhance the exaggerated action. The voiceover features expressive mumbling in an invented language—performed by me—to reflect each character's mood and comic timing without relying on dialogue.
