Mandarin Oriental x Studio Drift

I was invited by Anna at Oat Studio, a wonderful, long-term creative partner of mine, to elevate the social media video presentation for the unveiling of “Meandering Moments.” This bespoke artwork is the official new Signature Fan of the Mandarin Oriental Conservatorium, Amsterdam.

Designed and crafted by the world-renowned Studio Drift, the fan beautifully conveys the interplay of Amsterdam’s daily rhythm: light reflecting across historic canals, clouds glowing copper at dusk, and the warm architectural tones of the Conservatorium’s iconic brickwork.

To translate this physical masterpiece into a compelling digital experience, I produced the original music, captured and edited delicate foley, and handled the final mix. My goal was to create a soundscape that matched the rich, high-end artistic vibe of Studio Drift's work while reflecting the sophisticated, luxurious atmosphere of the hotel itself. The resulting audio gracefully mirrors the fluid gradients of the artwork, capturing a space where history and modern luxury meet.
